The Colorado Service Group provides these services for the local meetings that govern and support it.
1. This
Website: "coloradoservicegroup.org" provides information on all 12-Step fellowships and directing inquirers to all of Colorado's "S" meetings.
A phone message at (303) 427-0176 listed as "Sexual Addiction Problems Organizations" in the White Pages of several Colorado phone books, directs callers to this website for information about "Sex-Related 12-Step Programs."
2. A Statewide "Meetings List" for inquirers, helping professionals, and newcomers to let people know what meetings are available and how to visit them. Viewers can PRINT a copy of the list. From time-to-time, various meetings print copies for their Literature Table. Perhaps the most visited page in this website, our Meetings list is kept as up-to-date as possible.
Statewide Conferences so recovering people may share their experience, strength and hope. Speakers from all the "S" fellowships have appeared by invitation since the first conference at the Evergreen Conference Center in August 1988. Go to the Home Page for announcements of the next CSG event.
The Service Group began in December 1987 as a cooperative statewide committee serving the seven Sexahholics Anonymous and Sex & Love Addicts Anonymous meetings at that time. They hoped to create services collectively which none of them were getting done individually. Colorado Service Group is careful to respect the differing beliefs and practices of the various fellowships, focusing on what all have in common. Local meetings send "group service representatives" (GSR), financial support, and provide details for the Meetings List, thereby maintaining their group autonomy. CSG does not "govern"; rather it is governed by the local groups through their trusted servants who attend the monthly business meetings.
MONTHLY BUSINESS MEETINGS
The CSG meets on the 1st Sunday afternoon of each month via audio conferencing to coordinate services provided to the member meetings. Being involved with persons from other meetings from across Colorado makes these gatherings a highlight of the month. Those friendships have become a backbone of stability for the small weekly meetings in each locale. You may contact the current Chairperson via email at: information@coloradoservicegroup.org.
CSG is a Colorado non-profit corporation with a 501(c)(3) tax status. The bylaws are available at this website.
